Applications made in this way are forwarded directly to ourselves at ESTN, so we will see these alongside those submitted directly via our own Become A Volunteer page, OR
or via our own e-mail address at : eastshropshiretn@gmail.com

Please feel free to use any of these methods if you would like to express an interest in volunteering with us.
Many Thanks.

We would like to send our greatest thanks to Coreen, Richard, and Sally at Telford and Wrekin Council for providing the above facility on their web site, and working with us to set it up.

Appeal For Daytime Volunteers

0

We currently have vacancies within our Packing and Copying teams.

These teams work during the day, for just a couple of hours a week, and form an essential part of our operation, in copying the USB sticks and packing them ready for collection by the Royal Mail.

Anyone is most welcome, but being performed in the day time, the roles may particularly suit those who are retired, or working part-time.

If you would like to volunteer for one of these roles, or request a full Role Description to see what is involved, please contact us

Appeal For Presenters

0

We are currently looking to recruit more Presenters.

Anyone is welcome, whether you are new to us, or already an ESTN volunteer working in another area.

The main requirement is for a clear, non-hurried reading voice. (Regional or National accents are quite acceptable, and indeed warmly welcomed; clarity of the spoken word and expression being the watchwords).

The role involves providing links and continuity on the recording.

A team of people act as joint Presenters, (each taking their turn on a weekly roster), so the frequency of involvement is somewhere around once every 4 weeks, and the activities usually take between 2 and 4 hours, depending on whether the Presenter also does the preparation work, known in TN circles as ‘Editing’. (Some of our Presenters are also Editors).

You can find more general information about ESTN, and the roles involved at : https://eastshropshiretn.co.uk/about-us/

If you would be interested in volunteering to be a Presenter, or would like any further information or a full Role Description for Presenting, Editing, or both; please contact us

Thank you !
