We have so far done our utmost to continue our weekly memory stick distribution service to our registered subscribers throughout the industrial action by Royal Mail staff.
The situation has however now become too difficult and unpredictable to maintain, and leaves us in a position whereby the disruption in collections and deliveries means that we cannot guarantee having enough memory sticks in stock to send out a full week’s allocation at present.
Regrettably therefore, and in order to be in the best position possible to provide our Christmas Issue on memory stick, we have reluctantly decided to suspend the memory stick distribution service in the short term, with the exception of the Christmas Issue, which we hope to be sending out earlier than usual on Tuesday 20th December; in order to give as much time as possible for delivery to our listeners before the planned industrial action over the holiday period commences.
Even though our team will do everything they can to try to ensure that as many listeners as possible receive their memory stick before Christmas, we sadly cannot make any guarantees, due to the sitation not being fully within our control.
Our issues continue to be produced weekly, (as our production process is not affected), and these are available as always, via our usual on-line delivery platforms, which are listed on our LISTEN Page.
Our first issue of the new year is due to be sent out on Thursday 12th January 2023, and we are hopeful that we will be in a position to re-start our weekly memory stick distribution service from that time, but this will be dependant on the position with regard to any further industrial action by Royal Mail staff.
If there are any significant changes to this, we will issue a further update early next year.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our listeners a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year, and to thank all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
